A devastating house fire broke out Saturday night in Seaside, Oregon, injuring one person and forcing 7 families to flee their homes. According to the Seaside Fire Department, the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the 300 block of South Columbia Street.

The building, a wooden four-unit apartment building, was engulfed in flames, causing thick smoke to spread throughout downtown Seaside. Firefighters rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to extinguish the fire, but utilities had to be shut down to do so.
One person was taken to the hospital with minor wounds, and 7 families were forced to leave their homes and seek shelter elsewhere. Fortunately, the Red Cross was on hand to help the displaced families and provide them with the resources they needed during this difficult time.
The cause of the blaze is still unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine what triggered this tragic incident. Seaside Fire Rescue is urging anyone with information about the fire to come forward and help shed light on what happened.
