A group of anglers had an unforgettable experience on their fishing trip near the coast of Daytona Beach in Florida. They managed to hook a great white shark, which gave them an adrenaline rush. Captain Scott Housel, who owns and operates Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures, took the group out on a fishing holiday on Wednesday. The afternoon was calm before the shark was noticed circling the boat for about 20 min.

We took this video from New York Post YouTube Channel.

Suddenly, the shark hit one of the lines, and Housel wasn't sure whether they caught the shark or it caught them. However, what followed was an exhilarating two-mile ride. According to Housel, the shark was about four feet below the surface and located about 20 miles off the coast.

The group had a chance to feel the strength of the great white shark, which was a rarity sight for Housel, who has been fishing in the area since 1989. He mentioned that this was the seventh great white shark he had ever seen, and marine experts have classified them as vulnerable due to a decline in their population over the years.

The incident highlights the thrill and danger of deep-sea fishing, where anglers come face to face with some of the ocean's most powerful creatures. However, it also raises concerns about the impact of human activity on marine life and the need for responsible fishing practices.

As more people engage in recreational activities like fishing, it's essential to ensure that such activities do not harm the environment or endanger species. The incident near Daytona Beach serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving the ocean's delicate ecosystem and respecting the creatures that inhabit it.
