A truck driver had a narrow escape from a potentially fatal accident when her own truck was struck by a train on Watson Street in Union City, Georgia. The incident, which occurred on June 5th, was captured in a video that has since gone viral. In the video, a woman who appears to be the truck driver can be seen standing beside the truck cab as a train approaches from the opposite direction. As the train gets closer, someone across the street can be heard shouting at the driver to watch out. In a split second decision, the driver begins running away from the truck just as the train collides with it.

The impact of the crash creates a cloud of dust around the truck, momentarily obscuring the woman from view. But she can later be seen still running, having narrowly avoided being hit by the train. It is unclear how the truck ended up on the tracks, but it was hauling bags of cat litter at the time of the incident.

While no injuries were reported, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of staying alert and aware of one's surroundings, especially when operating heavy machinery. It is also a testament to the quick thinking and fast reflexes of the truck driver, who managed to escape the collision just in the nick of time.

Incidents involving trains and vehicles can often have catastrophic consequences, making it essential for drivers to exercise caution and follow all safety guidelines when approaching train tracks. According to the Federal Railroad Administration, there were over 2,200 collisions between trains and vehicles in 2020, resulting in hundreds of injuries and fatalities.
