A shocking incident occurred in Milwaukee on Thursday night, where a male is charged with firing multiple shots inside a house. The incident took place in the 2900 block of South East Harrison Street and police were immediately alerted upon hearing the sounds of gunshots. When police arrived, they found a man in a car, named Simon Brassard, trying to flee. However, Brassard refused to get out of the vehicle when officers approached him.

Police suspected that Brassard may have been armed with a gun, so brought in extra forces, including a negotiator, to ensure the safety of all involved. After a series of negotiations, Brassard surrendered and was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that shots were fired into a house in the area as well as from inside the house to a nearby neighborhood. Several bullets hit a neighboring house, breaking a window. Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting.

Police recovered two handguns from the scene and booked Brassard into the Clackamas County Jail for attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon and menacing.

The investigation is still ongoing, and no details have yet been released. This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of owning firearms and the potential for catastrophic consequences. Incidents like this highlight the importance of keeping guns out of the hands of those who are not responsible enough to handle them.

Those who suffer from mental illness or face other stresses in life that could provoke violent behavior should be monitored. Society needs to come together to find solutions to these problems and work towards a safer future for all.
