Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of a car accident that injured a man Tuesday morning on the Oregon Coast. The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. when the driver lost control of his car, went off the road and crashed into a building on Pacific Avenue in Oceanside. The building houses several establishments, including Three Arch Inn, Oceanside Surf Co. and Current Café. According to the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, the driver struck a rock wall before partially flipping on its side and colliding with the building. The impact caused significant damage to the structure, with equipment and shelves scattered. One employee was struck by an object, but was not seriously injured. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed with hydraulic tools. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, with investigators trying to determine if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if his vehicle had mechanical problems. Until more information is available, drivers should use caution when driving along the Oregon Coast and follow all traffic laws to prevent such accidents.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident, and the driver is expected to make a full recovery. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving and the need for drivers to always remain vigilant when operating their vehicles.
