The Portland Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night in Portland's Hazelwood neighborhood. At about 11:46 p.m., a sergeant patrolling the area at the corner of Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast Wasco Street was stopped by a man who drew the officer's attention to a man lying in the street who had been shot.

Emergency Medical Services (EMT) was called to the scene, but upon its arrival, the man was pronounced dead. The person has not been identified at this time.
No suspects have been found and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
