The two victims were forced to jump from the third floor to escape the flames. The condition of the two people is unknown at this time. A third person was also injured, but did not require hospitalization. Resettled residents are currently receiving financial assistance from the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available. In the meantime, the public is rallying to support those affected by this tragedy.

Fires can be devastating events that have a lasting impact on everybody involved. It is important that everyone take precautions to prevent fires in their homes. This includes making sure smoke detectors are functioning correctly, keeping flammable materials away from heat sources, and having an evacuation plan in case of fire.
