According to the Clackamas Fire Department, a fire broke out Sunday morning at an apartment in the Pointe West Apartments complex in Milwaukee, injuring three people. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Southeast Fuller Road when firefighters received a call. The fire reportedly started on the third floor of the building and quickly escalated to another unit. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly, but two pets unfortunately died during the fire.

The two victims were forced to jump from the third floor to escape the flames. The condition of the two people is unknown at this time. A third person was also injured, but did not require hospitalization. Resettled residents are currently receiving financial assistance from the Clackamas Emergency Services Foundation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available. In the meantime, the public is rallying to support those affected by this tragedy.
