A scary accident involving two logging trucks occurred Thursday morning in the city of Albany, Georgia. According to local authorities, the driver of the second logging truck survived the crash but suffered serious injuries. The Albany Police Department arrived on the scene at 9:23 a.m. on July 20 and found one logging truck stopped at a traffic light in the middle lane of the eastbound lane of E. E. Boulevard. Oglethorpe Boulevard. Unfortunately, the second logging truck was unable to stop and crashed into the first truck. The impact of the collision was so severe that the driver of the second logging truck was pinned inside the cab by logs from the first truck. The driver required immediate evacuation and was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
