A shooting occurred early Thursday morning in Southeast Portland, prompting an investigation by local police. The incident occurred at the intersection of Southeast 146th Avenue and Southeast Stark Street, where East Precinct officers were called. Upon arrival, they found 2 people wounded in the shooting. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries.

Officers arriving on the scene reported that they saw the suspects fleeing into a nearby apartment building. As a result, police thoroughly searched the area and detained three people for questioning. The investigation continues, and authorities are trying to determine if there are other suspects involved in the gunfire.
Southeast 148th Avenue has been shut down between East Burnside and Southeast Stark for the investigation, and Southeast Stark will also be shut down between Southeast 146th and Southeast 148th. Police are urging anybody with info about the gunfire to come forward and help the investigation.
