A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning in downtown Portland that left a woman dead. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) has confirmed the tragic incident. Following an alarm just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, law enforcement officers responded quickly to the intersection of Northwest Couch Street and Northwest Broadway. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a woman suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.

At this time, police have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting and are refraining from releasing information about possible suspects. Homicide detectives have taken over the thorough investigation of this heartbreaking incident.
