A shooting incident occurred in a Beaverton housing complex in the early hours of Thursday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of a 20-year-old Portland man, Miguel Vidalez. The Washington County Sheriff's Office received reports of a gunshot and a wounded female at around midnight. Upon arrival, officers found a female outside one of the residences with a gunshot wound in her leg. They provided first aid to the victim before she was taken to a nearby clinic for medical treatment. Fortunately, the woman is anticipated to recover from her injuries.

County detectives discovered that Vidalez had engaged in a "verbal argument" with the victim's daughter before the shooting incident took place. After the altercation, Vidalez fled the scene in the victim's vehicle before the police arrived. However, detectives received information that Vidalez was at a residence in Portland and worked with the Portland police to arrest him at around 2:30 am on Thursday. The arrest was carried out without incident.

Vidalez has been charged with several offenses, including first-degree assault, second-degree attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The investigation is still ongoing, and more charges could be added later.

The incident has left residents of the apartment complex shaken, with many expressing their concerns about the safety of their community. The Beaverton Police Department has assured residents that they are doing everything possible to ensure their safety and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
