The Woodburn Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for several crimes. Jesus Camarena, 26, has violated conditions of parole for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and assault on an officer, among other charges. He also has separate arrest warrants for unlawful use of a motor vehicle and domestic violence.

On Tuesday afternoon, officers spotted Camaren entering a home in the 1000 block of Williams Avenue in Woodburn. Knowing he had several warrants for his arrest, they cordoned off the area around the house and asked the occupants to come out.

According to authorities, Camarena did not come out of the house, and a SWAT team was called in to help. At about 4:30 p.m., a temporary shelter order was issued in the 1000 block of Williams Avenue, and a section of Highway 99E was blocked off in both directions.

After a Marion County judge issued a search warrant for the home, SWAT officers entered but were unable to locate Camarena.

Camarena is described as a 6-foot-165-pound Hispanic male with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his right arm. Police did not provide a photograph of Camarena. Anyone with information on Camarena's whereabouts should contact the Woodburn Police Department immediately.
