I don’t think this article applies to me. I’m OO and I have a different set of financial challenges and opportunities than a company driver. I have to deal with things like taxes, insurance, maintenance, fuel, permits, etc. I also have more control over my income and expenses. I have my own accountant and financial advisor who help me with my finances 💸

Another crazy passenger on Frontier Airlines

Saw this news? https://newjobs4you.com/news/intercom-phone-used-as-weapon-in-altercation-on-denver-bound-flight/

a woman hit a flight attendant with an intercom phone. What the hell is wrong with people these days? I drive trucks for a living and I see some crazy stuff on the road, but this is just insane. How hard is it to behave yourself on a plane? You're not the only one who wants to get to your destination safely and comfortably. And why would you attack the people who are there to help you in case of an emergency? That's just stupid and disrespectful. I hope she gets banned from flying for life and has to pay a hefty fine. Maybe then she'll learn some manners. Airlines should also give the flight attendant a raise and a medal for dealing with this nonsense. I feel bad for the other passengers who had to wait four hours because of this idiot.

Driver on phone causes accident on I-70

watched this video here 👉 https://newjobs4you.com/news/video-driver-on-phone-causes-accident-on-i-70,-caught-on-camera-by-vigilant-trucker/ a car driver on the phone cutting in front of a semi-truck on I-70 and causing a crash. Both vehicles went off the road and into a grassy area.

I think this video is a powerful reminder of how important it is to be focused and attentive while driving, especially on busy highways like I-70. It also shows how hard it is for truck drivers to deal with careless and reckless car drivers who don’t respect our space or our safety.

Truckers Carrying Guns: A Right or a Risk?

Hey drivers, just read this article about the pros and cons of truckers carrying guns for protection. It’s a hot topic that I’m sure many of us have opinions on. Personally, I think it’s a right that we should be able to exercise, especially when we have to drive through some sketchy areas or park in unsafe locations. I have a concealed carry permit and I always keep my gun locked in a secure box in my cab.

But I also understand that not everyone agrees with me. Some drivers think that carrying a gun is too risky and could lead to more violence or accidents. Some carriers don’t allow their drivers to carry guns at all, or have strict rules about how and where to store them.

So what do you guys think? Do you carry a gun or not? Why or why not? What are some of the challenges or benefits of trucking with a gun? Let’s have a civil discussion and respect each other’s views. Thanks for reading and stay safe out there!

My thoughts on the best OTR trucking companies

Came across this article that lists some of the best OTR trucking companies in the US: https://newjobs4you.com/blogs/companies/video-best-otr-trucking-companies/

I have to say, I agree with most of their choices. I’ve worked for XPO and Schneider before, and they were both great employers. They paid well, had good benefits, and respected their drivers. I especially liked the flexibility and bonuses that XPO offered. Schneider was also very reliable and supportive, and they helped me get my CDL.

I haven’t worked for Freightech or Old Dominion, but I’ve heard good things about them from other drivers. They seem to have a good reputation and a family-oriented culture. I might consider applying to them in the future if I’m looking for a change.

The only one I’m not too sure about is ABF Freight System. I’ve heard mixed reviews about them, and some of their policies seem a bit outdated. For example, they still use paper logs instead of electronic ones, which can be a hassle. They also have a lot of union issues and strikes, which can affect your pay and job security. I don’t know if they’re worth the risk.

What do you guys think? Have you worked for any of these companies? Do you have any other recommendations for OTR trucking jobs?

I’ve worked for both XPO and Schneider in the past, and I have mixed feelings about them. XPO was good at first, but then they started to cut corners and lower their standards. They started to pay late, reduce benefits, and increase fees. They also had a lot of turnover and management changes, which made things chaotic and stressful. Schneider was better, but they were also very strict and demanding.

Second, try to find some hobbies or activities that make you happy and keep you busy. For me, it's photography and fishing. I always carry my camera and fishing rod with me and whenever I have some downtime, I look for some scenic spots or fishing spots. It helps me clear my mind and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Indiana truckers protest low freight rates and broker transparency

Saw this news here and I have to say I’m proud of these guys for standing up for themselves. Low freight rates are killing us owner operators and brokers are taking advantage of us by hiding their margins. We need more transparency in the industry and more support for our fellow truckers. Back pain relief

Wanna share an article with you guys that gives some helpful advice on how to avoid and treat back pain while driving. I know many of us suffer from this problem due to long hours of sitting, bad posture, and lifting heavy loads.

The article explains why back pain is common among truck drivers and what are the main causes of it. It also gives 7 tips on how to reduce back pain on the road, such as sitting in a straight position, adjusting the mirrors, being careful when lifting, buying a seat cushion, taking breaks, doing yoga, and using ice and heat. I found the article very informative and practical, and I think it could benefit anyone who wants to improve their health and comfort while driving.
